For me I feel wealthy every day.
Friday I felt especially wealthy as I listened to this song
through the headphones leading to my iPod.
To me this is part of my wealth.

Summer Secret and Bo-Bo
Okay so as long as I have lived in this house (built in the 60's) there has been a consistent odor of sewer gas when ever the air conditioner would run. The more you ran the a/c the stronger the smell became. Year after year the smell was worse and worse. Last summer was the last that I would sit through it again. I refused. It gave me headaches and I was embarrassed to have company over because they would think that I didn't keep my house clean, or even worse...that I wasn't "feeling well" that day.
You see the intake ducts for the air conditioner were built into the foundation for the house. The concrete foundation has a big open space under the a/c unit in the closet and from there there are tunnels leading to each room in the house with floor vents at their end. Somehow the sewer gas was getting into these vents and coming up into the a/c unit and then the air was pumped into each room in the house. It was disgusting.
So this
year we spent the money and got
the problem fixed. The a/c unit was removed and cleaned by the a/c guys. The evil hole in the foundation under the unit was filled with concrete and there was a plywood box built over that to raise the unit upon re installation. They cut an intake hole in my front hall wall and placed the filter and grate there.
It looks like a brand new unit and so far...with the little bit of use the a/c has had since its re installation...there has been no stinky air. Woot!! I'm so glad too!

Bo-Bo was being hunted this morning by a mad dog Chihuahua. He tried to hide in Lloyd's shirt but was soon spotted. Fujiman vigilantly waited for him to make a run for it as you can see.....

Wednesday Ramblings
It's hard to believe that tomorrow is Thursday already. Where did the week go to? Hmmm????????
Took the dogs out today and had them shot. Wait...back up...they got their shots that is. They are all caught up on their rabies and kennel cough. That kennel cough is an icky thing for them to have I tell ya. Baby got it once at the groomers and she hacked for a couple of days before I thought...she needs to get something for that nasty cough. I had never heard of kennel cough before then. Now I know.
Baby is a whopping 16 1/2 pounds and Fujiman is a cool 9 pounds. Healthy weights for both of them according to my vet. Picked up some more drops for Fujimans eyes while we were there too. The vet was impressed at my obvious sparing use of the drops. Yay me. So next week Baby will go back in and have some teeth pulled and the others cleaned. Yay Baby! That should help her to feel better hopefully.
I am ready to start quilting again. Here are a few pictures of the quilts that I made this past year. Since they have all been received as gifts I can post the pictures now. I didn't do the machine quilting but I did make the backing and quilt tops that were pieced together. The quilter just sewed them all together for me and made them one. Yipee.
So...do you guys think that I should go into business making quilts and selling them?
